Connecting Finland and Canada.

Our purpose

Established in 1981, the Finnish-Canadian Business Council is focused on driving trade between the two countries. Our mission is to promote trade investment and economic development.

We use the Council as a platform to connect, provide resources, information and look for partnerships. We look to our shared values, long trade history and practical business cultures as the basis for our work.

Membership is open to those interested in doing business in one or both of our countries.

The Council currently has about 30 members, ranging from SME to large industrial companies, traditional industry to high tech.

We accomplish our mission by providing our members with:

  • Collaboration opportunities within our transatlantic network of stakeholders, through events, digital platforms, and other channels;

  • Information on policy, trade, and investment;

  • Representation of interests in public debate and advocacy.

The annual membership fee is 250 € for corporate membership and 65 € for individual membership.
